# COLIS PRIVE ERROR: ⚠️ Authentication error (code -2)

When generating the label for an order to be shipped with Colis Privé, the following error message is displayed:

**⚠️ Authentication error (code -2)**

 

This is because the credentials used to authenticate you when we call the Colis Privé interface to retrieve the label are not correct. 

 

**✅Solution:** please contact support so that we can get in touch with your carrier to check the credentials.
