(In advanced warehouse) #### **Why do we distinguish two types of stock in advanced warehouse?** In advanced warehouse, i.e. with the **Expert+ Pack**, Shippingbo distinguishes between: - the **available stock**, which corresponds to the quantities that can still be sold; - the **location stock**, also called **physical stock**, which corresponds to the quantities actually present in the warehouse locations. ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Mar-04-2026-03-08-18-1588-PM.png?width=670&height=163&name=image-png-Mar-04-2026-03-08-18-1588-PM.png) These two stocks are not reserved at the same time in the processing of an order. ➡️ An order can therefore decrement the available stock without having yet reserved the stock present in a location.   **✅ Solution:** #### **1. Decrementing the available stock** By default, the available stock is decremented when an order changes to the status **Awaiting payment**, **Awaiting stock** or **To prepare**. This reservation is linked to the parcel ID shown on the slip.  **⭐ Key point:** Since the location stock is decremented when the slip is generated (whether individual or from a preparation session), it is strongly recommended **not to make an order depend on several slips** at the same time: *Example:* I generate an individual slip for my order. I forget about it and launch a preparation session that includes my order.
