# ERROR WHEN GENERATING A FEDEX LABEL: THE COMMERCIAL\_INVOICE REQUIRES AN ELECTRONIC LETTER\_HEAD"

You are trying to generate a label with FedEx that requires customs documents (CN23), but the error message below is displayed:  

**Error message: *"****6003: The COMMERCIAL\_INVOICE requires an electronic LETTER\_HEAD "*

 

➡️ This message means that FedEx was unable to generate the customs documents required for this shipment.

 

**✅ Solution:**

For FedEx to be able to generate this customs document, you need to **upload a header image** as well as a specific **footer** in your FedEx back office.
