# MAKE A STOCK ENTRY FROM A PRODUCT RATHER THAN A LOCATION

## This tutorial explains how to add stock starting from the product rather than from the location.

For example, when the person making the stock entry does not know where the product is located in the warehouse at the time of receipt.

### View the available locations for the product

**Step 1:** Go to **Stock Management** and enter the **Product details and Locations** module

**Step 2:** Scan the barcode of your Product

You now have an overview of the locations where your product is stored

### Add the stock to the desired location

 

**Step 1:**  Click on an Action button to add your product to this location:

**Step 2:** You are then taken back to the Add stock menu, so you can scan the quantity you want to add again or change the quantity manually:
