Prerequisites ✔️: - Have completed a picking session via **PDA** - Have configured an apiary in your Shippingbo account - Feature available from the **Premium + pack**. ### 3. How does the splitting session work? The splitting session lets you sort the products collected during your picking session. They are distributed into an apiary made up of several cells, each cell corresponding to an order. Once the sorting is complete, you can ship the orders more easily. *Example*: You have collected 50 products during a picking session. Thanks to the splitting session, you scan each product, and Shippingbo tells you which cell of the apiary to put it in. Each cell is associated with a specific order.   ### 4. Enable the splitting session To enable this feature, you need to configure an apiary in your Shippingbo account. 1. Use the splitting session 1. Go to the menu **Preparation** and select a preparation session for which you completed the picking with your PDA 2. Scan the first product, and Shippingbo will tell you which cell of the apiary to put it in. Once all the products have been scanned and assigned, you will be redirected to the print page. ➡️ If this is not the case, at least one of your orders is incomplete or not split. Click on **Finish splitting and go to printing** to see the orders blocking access to printing. ➡️ For an order that has not been split, click on **Exit the run and empty the cell**. ➡️ For an incomplete order, if you have enabled the partial shipment option, you will have the choice between **Exit the run and empty the cell** to postpone the preparation of the order, or **Ship partially**. If you have automated label generation, the label will come out as soon as you scan your apiary cell. Once the first label has been generated, the screen takes you back to the page where you scan the apiary cells, and you will need to scan all of your cells.: ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Mar-20-2025-09-25-38-6881-AM.png?width=670&height=210&name=image-png-Mar-20-2025-09-25-38-6881-AM.png) **📢 Warning:** Check that each product is placed in the indicated cell to avoid errors during shipment.     ### 6. Check the availability of your apiaries To view the status of your apiaries, follow the steps below: 1. Go to the menu **Configuration → Logistics → Apiaries**. 2. In the table that appears, you will see the current status of each apiary: - **Free**: The apiary is available for a new splitting session. - **Occupied**: The apiary is already in use in a splitting session in progress.
