# SCHEDULED EXPORT: WHAT HAPPENS IF THE FILE IS EMPTY?

You have an export file scheduled to be generated at set times and to be dropped on an FTP server. 

**Is the file dropped on the FTP even if it contains no data?**

 

**✅ Solution:**

If the file contains no data and is therefore empty, **the file is not sent to the FTP**.
