Prerequisites ✔️: - This feature is available to users from the **Pro + pack**. - For users who want to use tag mapping, this feature is available from the **Premium + pack.**   ### 3. How to add promotional materials?   💠**Note**: **Shippingbo has no mandatory method for adding promotional materials.** We offer **four approaches** adapted to different levels of control and automation.   #### **3.1 Via your sales channel** **(recommended method)**: Create your promotional materials as physical products (for example a "flyer -20%") in the product catalog of your sales channel as well as in your Shippingbo catalog.  That way, the material is automatically included in the order like any other item. To add a new product to your Shippingbo catalog, see our tutorial [here](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/importer-ou-supprimer-des-produits-dans-shippingbo?hsLang=fr).  ✅ **Benefits:** - Simple integration - Automated stock management - No specific configuration in Shippingbo *Example:* A flyer is added to the customer's cart on Shopify. It automatically appears in Shippingbo as a product line.   #### **3.2** **Via tags and tag mapping in Shippingbo**: Add **custom tags** (*e.g.: "panda goodie", "summer promo flyer"*) to your orders and configure a **tag mapping** in Shippingbo so that a promotional material is automatically added to the order at the time of preparation. To learn how to configure tag mapping, go [here](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/mapping-des-tags?hsLang=fr).  📢 **Warning**: - The tag is displayed **only** on the Shippingbo desktop interface. - **No** automatic stock management. *Example:*  You define in Shippingbo a mapping rule such as: If an order contains the tag **"summer-flyer"**, then add **1 summer flyer** to the order at the time of preparation.   #### **3.3** **Via the preparation slip**: Tell your pickers to add the materials directly in the parcel by entering a specific instruction in the preparation slip. To find out how to add preparation instructions, see our tutorial [here](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/importer-des-informations-de-pr%C3%A9paration-dans-shippingbo?hsLang=fr).  📢 **Warning**: - This method **does not allow stock management** for promotional materials. - It relies on the operator manually carrying out the instruction. 💠 **Tip:** For better traceability, make sure to physically identify promotional materials with an internal code or a unique SKU. *Example*:  Add an instruction "Add 1 Summer Vibes sticker" to the preparation slip.   #### 3.4 Via an API connection If your sales channel does not allow you to add a promotional product or a tag, you can use a **third-party API** (e.g.: ERP or CRM tool) to send the information to Shippingbo. The API can then: - Add a **promotional product** to an order - Add a **tag** that triggers a mapping in Shippingbo ✅ **Benefits:** - Very flexible - Suited to complex systems (ERP, PIM, custom campaigns) *Example*: Your ERP detects an order eligible for a Black Friday goodie and sends a "goodie-bf" tag to Shippingbo via API.   ### 4. Example of practical use **You are an e-merchant** in the lifestyle sector, and you want to slip a goodie (sticker, badge) into all orders placed during an event (e.g. Black Friday). To do this, several methods are possible: 1. **Physical product in the sales channel:** Create a "Black Friday Goodie" product, included in orders through your campaign. (this method is **recommended**) 2. **Tag and tag mapping in Shippingbo:** Set up a rule in Shippingbo: If the order comes from order source X, then add the tag "goodie-bf". 3. **Instruction in the preparation slip:** Add the instruction "Add a Black Friday goodie". 4. **Connected third-party API:**  A CRM or ERP tool dynamically adds the "goodie-bf" tag to certain orders via API. **Result:** Your customers receive an unexpected bonus that adds value to their order. You maximize the impact of your marketing campaigns without affecting logistics processing.   💠 **Note**: Combining several methods lets you adapt the materials to different cases (e.g.: one-off goodies with method 3, permanent ones with method 1).   📢 **Warning**: Only **method 1 allows stock tracking** in Shippingbo. For the others, you will need to track the available quantities manually.   **⚒️ Recommendation:**  Before fully using the feature described in this tutorial, we strongly recommend running **a test phase** with your own settings to check that the result matches your expectations.
