Prerequisites - This feature is accessible by default for all packs that generate slips, i.e. all LMS, WMS and TMS Packs - The logged-in user must have **Configurator** rights.   ▼ ### 2. How slip configuration works Slip configuration lets you precisely adjust the content printed on your preparation and delivery documents for all the slips generated on the account. You can configure the graphic elements, order information, product details (locations, stock, Best-Before Date/DLC, lots), as well as the sorting rules for printing. **💡 Tip:** To limit preparation errors, **display the product barcode** as well as the location address (**location**) directly on your slip lines. **🚩 Special case:** If you sell on **Zalando**, specific legal notices and options must be filled in in the dedicated section. ➡️ These options require our support team to adapt your settings; you can contact them [here](https://support.shippingbo.com/?hsLang=fr). (((Check the ***Zalando documents configuration*** option in **Configurations** \> **Logistics** \> **Slips** tab)))   ▼ ### 3. Configuring preparation slips To access the options, go to the **Configurations** \> **Logistics** \> **Slips** tab: ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-37-45-3733-AM.png?width=670&height=141&name=image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-37-45-3733-AM.png)   #### 3.1 Document visuals This section lets you add graphic elements to your slips: ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-42-40-2482-AM.png?width=670&height=218&name=image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-42-40-2482-AM.png) - **Header (PNG, width: 360 px max.):** Lets you upload the logo or visual that will appear at the top of your slips. - **Banner (PNG, width: 820 px max.):** Lets you insert a horizontal visual banner (communication, promotions, delivery instructions). - **Footer (PNG, width: 820 px max.):** Lets you add an image or legal notices at the bottom of each page.   #### 3.2 General settings Configure the global behavior and the identifiers used: ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-43-26-5581-AM.png?width=670&height=214&name=image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-43-26-5581-AM.png) - **Additional reference field:** Adds a secondary reference next to the product's main reference (e.g.: ID, EAN13). - **Product reference selected to be displayed as a barcode on each product:** Defines which identifier generates the barcode of the item line (ID, EAN13 or User reference). - **Field for the order reference:** Choice of the type of order reference to print on the document (original marketplace reference or source reference). - **Reference selected to be displayed in this barcode on the slip:** Defines the order reference encoded in the slip's global barcode. - **Slip language:** Defines the default language of the document labels (French, English, Polish). - **Generate a slip when the order is created:** Triggers automatic slip generation as soon as the order is imported into Shippingbo. - **Enable label and list mode:** Enables the format combining the preparation list and the shipping label.   #### 3.3 Content and columns ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-53-14-9011-AM.png?width=670&height=430&name=image-png-Sep-04-2026-11-53-14-9011-AM.png) **Product & Stock information:** - **Checkbox:** Displays a checkbox at the start of the line to make manual ticking on paper easier. - **Sku:** Prints the product's standard SKU reference. - **Offer SKU:** Displays the SKU reference specific to the marketplace offer. - **Title / Offer title:** Displays the product sheet title or the commercial name on the sales channel. - **Photo:** Prints the product photo thumbnail. - **Product prices:** Shows the unit price of each item. - **Product barcode:** Displays a scannable barcode for each item line. - **Current product stock:** Shows the quantity currently available in stock. - **Location:** Displays the product's picking location address. - **Lot number:** Displays the lot number for products under traceability. - **Last product preparation date:** Displays the best-before or expiry date (Best-Before Date / DLC). - **Capitalize SKUs:** Forces references to be displayed in capital letters.   **Pack management:** - **Group pack products:** Groups the components under their parent pack instead of splitting them out individually. - **Display packs as product headers (if grouped):** Inserts a header line identifying the parent pack above its components. - **Pack photo:** Prints the overall visual of the pack.   **Order & Recipient Information:** - **Order no. text:** Explicitly displays the text label of the order number. - **Display an order reference as a barcode on the slip:** Prints the order identification barcode. - **Customer email** / **Display customer phone number:** Displays the buyer's contact details. - **Order price:** Prints the financial totals (amount excl. VAT/incl. VAT, shipping costs, total paid). - **Shipping deadline:** Shows the maximum shipping date imposed. - **Display order tags:** Prints the labels/tags assigned to the order. - **Customer messages** / **Display mode:** Displays the comments left by the buyer (Standard or simplified display). - **Customer history:** Prints information about the buyer's previous orders. - **Max. no. of orders:** Limits the volume of orders that can be processed in the same slip print run. - **Max. no. of orders for the B2B process:** Defines the specific order limit for B2B preparation sessions. - **No. of lines per page - header included (default value: 30):** Configures pagination by setting the maximum number of item lines per page. - **Zalando documents configuration:** Enables and fills in the specific legal notices required by Zalando (Partner name, Shop name, Legal representative, Tax number, black and white mode).   **Layout & Logistics options:** - **Delivery slip mode:** Adapts the layout into a delivery note intended for the end customer. - **Replace the carrier logo with the order's delivery service name:** Displays the text name of the shipping offer. - **Enable pagination on preparation slips:** Numbers the generated pages (e.g.: Page 1/2), and displays the number of the preparation session the slip comes from. - **Display available stock on summaries:** Includes the available quantities on the global summaries. - **Export addresses as CSV:** Lets you export the associated addresses. - **Enable logo and banner customization by source and origin:** Adapts the graphic design according to the order's origin in the **Integrated label** slip format. - **Split into multiple pages:** Automatically manages page breaks in the standard or integrated version. - **Sort by number of products:** Orders the slip lines according to the item volume.   #### 3.4 Customizations by Source / Origin Using the **Configure by origin** button at the top of the page: ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-04-2026-12-20-34-6798-PM.png?width=301&height=73&name=image-png-Sep-04-2026-12-20-34-6798-PM.png) You can create specific rules (overriding the language, logo, references or legal notices) to adapt your slips **according to the original sales channel**.   #### 3.5 Configuring the slip order (Sorting between each slip) Define the order in which slips are printed: - Ordered by order line or location (default). - Ordered by location of the heaviest product. - Ordered from the smallest quantity to the largest. - Ordered by Shippingbo order ID. - Ordered by carrier. **⭐ Key point:** The slip print order can be adapted according to location or weight to optimize your teams' physical route in the warehouse.     **▼** 4. Example of practical use An e-merchant wants to prepare orders with scan control in the warehouse and include a delivery note for the end customer: 1. They go to **Configurations \> Logistics \> Slips tab**. 2. They enable the **Product barcode** option with the EAN13 and check the **Location** box to display the shelf location. 3. They upload their company logo in the **Header** box (PNG, max. 360 px). 4. They enable the **Delivery slip mode** and hide sensitive internal stock information. 5. They choose the **Ordered by order line or location** sort to optimize the preparation round.   **⚒️ Framework and responsibilities:**  Before fully using the feature described in this tutorial, we strongly recommend running **a test phase** with your own settings to check that the result matches your expectations.
