CONNECTORS - CONNECT MAGENTO V2.4.4 OR HIGHER

Warning: If you switch from a pre-production account to a production account, you will need to create a new Magento connector in Shippingbo.

📢 Warning:

If you have a Magento version earlier than 2.4.4, please see the tutorial New connector interface - connect Magento V2.

1. Create an external service in Shippingbo

Step 1: Go to your Shippingbo interface to create your external service in the menu Configurations -> External services -> Click on Add a sales channel:

Step 2: Search for "Magento V2" in the search bar, then click on the Magento V2 tab that appears:

Step 3: Your connector opens and a first category appears:

1) The pen to the right of Magento v2 allows you to change the name of your connector.

2) The "View help" button redirects you to this tutorial.

3) The chart icon lets you check the validity of the connection between Shippingbo and your Magento store.

4) TheOrders block informs you about the features that are enabled, disabled or unavailable between your Shippingbo account and your Magento store for orders: order retrieval, order closing, order sending, order acceptor.

5) TheStock block informs you about the features that are enabled, disabled or unavailable between your Shippingbo account and your Magento store for stock: stock retrieval, stock sending.

 💬 Good to know:

The color code of the icons is as follows:

- blue for active features

- dark gray for features that are disabled but available

- light gray for unavailable features

Step 4: By clicking on the 3 small dots to the right of the chart icon, you can access the calls made with this service:

Step 5: Then add your Magento version in the Magento version field of the category General settings before saving the changes:

Step 6: Go back to the top of the page and click on "Generate links" to obtain the links needed for the connection.

2. Configurations to perform in Magento

Once the external service has been created in Shippingbo, you will need to perform some configurations in your Magento account.

Step 1: Go to your Magento back office.

Then go to the menu System -> Integrations:

Step 2: Click on Add new integration.

Step 3: Give this new integration a name, then enter your administrator password.

Fill in the Callback URL and Identity link URL with the URLs retrieved from Shippingbo in the previous step:

Step 4: Then switch to the API tab to allow all actions by selecting All in Resource Access.

Step 5: The integration is inactive by default. You therefore need to activate it to generate security keys:

Magento

Step 6: Click on Allow to authorize access.

Step 7: Go back to Shippingbo, to the configuration settings of your Magento, and test the connection to the service by clicking on the chart icon:

Step 8: Exclude SKUs

If you do not want to retrieve certain SKUs in your Magento orders, you can enter them in the Exclude by SKU option in the Exclusion rules:

📢 Warning:

To enable order retrieval, click on the arrow to the right of the category:

💠 Note:
You can delete this connector by going to the advanced settings and clicking on "Delete the connector" in the  Deletion:

⚒️ Recommendation:

Before fully using the feature described in this tutorial, we strongly recommend running a test phase with your own settings to check that the result matches your expectations. As the customer remains fully responsible for the actions carried out in the Shippingbo account, these tests are essential to use the tool with complete peace of mind.

📢 Warning:

Only direct connections to sales channels allow Shippingbo to guarantee control of the flows. When orders are not retrieved via an official Shippingbo connector, but pass through a third-party tool (intermediate CMS, external connector, FTP, manual or automated import), Shippingbo cannot guarantee the integrity, reliability or completeness of the data transmitted.
This data may be modified, truncated, reformatted or duplicated before it is received in Shippingbo, resulting in particular in processing errors, duplicate orders, status inconsistencies, label blockages, carrier or customs anomalies, as well as a degradation of the final customer experience.
In this context, Shippingbo is not able to investigate or correct anomalies originating from the third-party system. Any anomaly related to upstream data falls outside Shippingbo's scope of responsibility (more information on the scope of support here). Such investigations can only be carried out as part of a specific service and will be invoiced.
For all these reasons, we strongly recommend connecting your sales channels directly to Shippingbo via the official connectors.
