Prerequisites - This feature does not require activation by Shippingbo support. - The logged-in user performing the steps of this tutorial must have access rights to **User management**.   ### 2. How the manager validation code works and how to activate it The **Password Manager** allows you to associate a validation code with a user who has the status **Manager**. This code serves as a security key when an unauthorized operator attempts a sensitive operation (such as **Skip picking control**). #### 2.1 The manager role When a user has the option ***Can perform manager validations*** checked, they can set a personal validation code in their profile settings. This will generate a new barcode to print. **💡 Tip:** Print the manager's barcode on a physical medium (badge or laminated label) that the manager can carry to quickly unlock the packing stations.   ### 3. Using the manager validation code Let's take the example of manager validation required to skip (bypass) the picking control step. #### 3.1 Configuring the restriction 1. In the **Logistics**, tab, check **Can skip picking control**: ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Aug-10-2026-01-37-25-8347-PM.png?width=327&height=53&name=image-png-Aug-10-2026-01-37-25-8347-PM.png)   #### 3.2 Behavior during preparation **Case of a non-manager user:** - The operator prepares their order but wants to skip the picking control.
