CONNECTORS - CONNECT MAGENTO V2

Important: If you are switching from a pre-production account to a production account, you will need to create a new Magento Connector in Shippingbo.

To connect your Magento V2 site to Shippingbo via API, you will need to perform several steps.

📢 Warning:

If you have a version of Magento equal to or greater than 2.4.4, please refer to the New Interface tutorial Connectors - Connect to Magento V2.4.4 or higher.

 

These steps will help you enter the following information into Shippingbo:

 

1. Retrieve login information

 

1.1: Go to your Magento back office.

Then in the menu System -> Integrations :

1.2: Click on "Add new integration"

1.3: Give this new integration a name, then enter your administrator password. Next, go to the "API"in order to authorize all actions:

1.4: The integration is inactive by default. It must therefore be enabled to generate security keys:

1.5: Click on "Allow" to grant access.

1.6: A page like this one will appear with the data you need. It is very important to copy the keys displayed on this screen because you will not be able to display them again later for security reasons.

2. Create an external service in Shippingbo

2.1: Go to your Shippingbo interface to create your external service in the menu Connectors -> Sales channels -> Click on Add a sales channel :

 

2.2: Search "Magento v2" in the search bar, then click on the Magento v2 tab that appears:

 

Step 3:Your connector opens and the first category appears:

1) The stylus on the right of Magento v2 allows you to change the name of your connector.

2) The "View help" button redirects you to this tutorial.

3) The graphic icon allows you to verify the validity of the connection between Shippingbo and your Magento store.

4) The blockOrdersinforms you about the functionalities that are enabled, disabled or unavailable between your Shippingbo account and your Magento store at the order level: order retrieval, order closing, order sending, order acceptor.

5) The blockStockinforms you about the features that are enabled, disabled or unavailable between your Shippingbo account and your Magento store at the stock level: stock retrieval, stock sending.

💠 Noticed :
The color code for the icons is as follows:
- Active features are shown in blue
- Dark grey indicates features that are disabled but available
- Features shown in light grey are unavailable

 

2.4: By clicking on the 3 small dots to the right of the graphic icon, you will be able to access calls made with this service:

 

 

3. Connect Magento v2 to Shippingbo

A minimum of 2 pieces of information are required to connect Magento to your Shippingbo account.

3.1: First, you must enter the following information in the "General Settings" section:

  • That is:

- Access token

- API Host

  • Either :

- Host

- API identifier

- API password

 

3.2: Next, enter the rest of the information you need in the following sections: Order retrieval; Order closing; Stock sending; and even in Advanced settings.

 

3.3 Exclude from SKUs

If you do not wish to retrieve certain SKUs in your Magento orders, you can specify them in the option Exclude by SKU in the category Exclusion rules :

To enable command retrieval, click the arrow to the right of the category:

You can remove this connector by going to the advanced settings and clicking on "Remove connector" in the blockDeletion :

Only direct connections from sales channels allow Shippingbo toguarantee control of flowsWhen orders are not retrieved via an official Shippingbo connector, but are routed through a third-party tool (intermediate CMS, external connector, FTP, manual or automated import), Shippingbo cannot guarantee the integrity, reliability or completeness of the transmitted data.
This data may be modified, truncated, reformatted or duplicated before being received in Shippingbo, leading to processing errors, duplicate orders, status inconsistencies, label blocks, carrier or customs anomalies, and a degradation of the final customer experience.
In this context, Shippingbois unable to investigate or correct anomalies issues originating from the third-party system. Any anomaly related to upstream data is outside the scope of Shippingbo's responsibility (more information on the scope of support). hereThese investigations can only be carried out as part of a specific service and will be subject to a charge.
For all these reasons, it is highly recommended to connect your sales channels directly to Shippingbo via the official connectors.
