PERFORM A GOODS RECEIPT RELATED TO YOUR EXPECTED RECEIPT OUTSIDE OF THE ADVANCED WAREHOUSE

The PDA-based goods receipt functionality allows for the receipt of products related to a standard warehouse receipt expectation, while ensuring traceability.

2. Prerequisites✔️:

  • Available from Premium pack +.

  • Requires the use of a PDA with the Shippingbo application installed.

  • Works uniquely for warehouse inventory management simple (excluding advanced warehouse).

 

3. How does reception via an expectation work?

This feature allows you to receive goods by linking the transaction to a previously created receiving expectation on Shippingbo. This ensures that the incoming stock is correctly associated with the original expectation, facilitating logistics tracking.

Example : "If you activate this feature, each product added to stock will be automatically linked to an existing expected receipt, allowing for complete tracking of the operation."

 

4. How to carry out a goods receipt related to a receipt expectation?

4.1 On the Shippingbo interface

From the side menu, go to the menu Configurations -> Logistics -> Awaiting receipt,then check the option Receive all the merchandise at once If you would like an automatic global reception:

4.2 On the PDA

  • Go to the menu Receiving goods -> Reception session:

  • Scan the expected reference:

 

  • Create the session:

  • Add the products manually or click on Receive all the merchandise (if enabled):

 

💡 Tip:

This button selection step Adding stock can be skipped automatically via the option Skip the intermediate page in a receiving session in Configurations > Logistics > PDA:

     
  • Once all the expected products have been scanned, Log out of the session:

📢 Attention :

If the products have a Best Before End or a lot numberThe global reception option will be automatically disabledThe targeted location must also be of the type multi-product.

💡 Tip:

If you need to manage receiving orders containing only 1 product in 1 quantity, the option Do not scan the product when receiving an order with a single quantity allows you to skip the product scanning step in Configurations > Logistics > PDA:

 

 

5. Example of practical application

You are an e-commerce retailer in the cosmetics sector. You have just received an expected delivery of 5 items. By scanning the expected items with your PDA, you can seamlessly add each product to your inventory, without data loss or re-entry.
