RECOMMENDED PRINTERS

Please note that the equipment shown in this document is often supplied without charging cables.
The different ranges
1. Direct thermal printers (volume <1000 labels/day)
Direct thermal printers print directly onto a heat-sensitive substrate that burns when it passes under the print head. Because they print without thermal ribbon, they are characterized by their simplicity. Printed labels have a short lifespan and are not suitable for environments that expose them to heat, long storage periods, or humidity, for example. This printing option will provide you with crisp print quality and good scanning capabilities using a single consumable. For any short-term labeling application, such as shipping labels or products with a short shelf life, direct thermal is the most efficient printing method.
2. Thermal transfer printers (volume <1000 labels/day)
Thermal transfer printers use a thermal ribbon, which is applied to the label by the print head. This method is essential for printing on labeling materials other than paper, such as polypropylene and polyester, for use in outdoor and harsh environments. In addition to increased durability, thermal transfer printing media also have a very long lifespan, making them ideal for product labels or wristbands. Because a ribbon is used, it is also possible to change the print color beyond black. With the right combination of labels and ribbon, labels can be used in any environment or for any application. Although it is slightly more expensive to print media using thermal transfer, the added benefits ensure that the label will remain legible throughout its lifespan without the need for reprinting.
3. Portable printers
Portable thermal printers will allow operators to work at mobile workstations and print their shipping labels without requiring a dedicated space for a fixed shipping station.
4. Industrial printers (volume >1000 labels/day)
Industrial printers are larger and more robust than desktop models. They are designed to print high volumes of labels. From just over a thousand labels per day to continuous printing all day long, these printers are built to accommodate larger label rolls, and some models support rolls up to 160mm wide. You'll find industrial printers in manufacturing and distribution centers, logistics hubs, and large retail stores. If you print in large volumes, an industrial printer is the most reliable choice.
5. Product label printers
Dymo printers are easy to use and convenient for mass printing of product or location labels, 50x25mm format, on an ad-hoc basis and the label editing software is free.
A Zebra printer, adapted for label printing carrierIt can also be used as a label printer. product, by inserting a roll of label in the specific format, 50x25mm.
Accessories for thermal printers
Cutting kits that will allow you to cut thermal labels cleanly and without snags.
Pre-peel kits that will allow you to easily recover thermal labels, without creasing or risk of tearing, by pre-peeling them on the way out.
