REQUEST A COLLECTION

The feature allows you to request a one-off collection from certain carriers directly from the Shippingbo interface, in just a few clicks.

3. How does the collection request work in Shippingbo?

When using a carrier whose pickups are not automatic, you must make a manual request each time you want a driver to come and collect your packages.
This can be done in just a few clicks, directly from your Shippingbo interface.

💡 Tip:
Only one collection request is required, even if you ship with multiple services from the same carrier (e.g., DHL Express and DHL Standard).

 

4. How do I create a collection request?

  • In the menu Shipping -> Collections from the interface sidebar:

  • Click on Add, select the accountthen fill in the collection day wish, before to validate :

📢 Attention :
If you use multiple services from the same carrier (e.g., express and standard), a single request sufficient for all packages.

  • Provide the collection information:

    - Indicate a wide time slotideally more than 4 hours, and sufficiently distant in time.
    - Add a logistical precision (e.g., "platform 5" or "rear entrance"), then confirm.

📢 Attention :
Available time slots may vary depending on your location and the carrier.
A timeframe that is too short or a request made too late can lead to refusal from the carrier.

 

 

5. Example of a practical application

You are an e-commerce merchant who sells household items. You use DHL for your international shipments, but collections are not scheduled automatically.

Today you are preparing an important shipment to Germany, but no DHL transit is planned.
You go to Shippingbo, and in less than two minutes, you create a collection request for the next day between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.indicating that the packages will be available at the main reception.

Result :

  • The driver arrived the following day as planned.

  • Your parcels are shipped on time.

  • You avoid a shipping delay or a customer complaint.

💠 Noticed :
The earlier you make the request, the more you increase your chances of confirmation by the carrier.

📢 Attention :
If your request is refused, you will see an error message. You can then immediately submit another request with more suitable time slots.
