# ENABLE AND USE DANGEROUS GOODS

## Shippingbo lets you manage dangerous goods for certain carriers: Kuehne+Nagel, Heppner and DHL.

### **Benefits of the feature ✨**

- **Easily manage the information** related to dangerous goods for the products concerned.
- **Compliance with the transport regulations** for dangerous goods.
- **Optimization of shipments** in terms of safety for carriers.

### 1. Prerequisites

- Feature available from the **Pro + pack**.
- Your product must already be registered in Shippingbo before you can associate dangerous goods information with it.
- **Feature only available** for the carriers **Kuehne+Nagel**, **Heppner** and **DHL**.

### 2. How does dangerous goods management work in Shippingbo?

#### 2.1 Adding dangerous goods in Shippingbo

A product is categorized as dangerous goods by adding a **Dangerous Goods** entry to a product. This can be done manually in a product sheet, in the Dangerous Goods tab, or via import.

More information about adding dangerous goods in Shippingbo in our dedicated tutorial: **[ADD, EDIT AND DELETE DANGEROUS GOODS MANUALLY OR BY IMPORT](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/gestion-des-mati%C3%A8res-dangereuses)**.

#### 2.2 Shipping dangerous goods with Shippingbo

### 3. Enabling dangerous goods management

The feature is enabled by default on every Shippingbo account from the **Pro+ Pack**. Any pack with access to the Products section can add dangerous goods to its products.

### 4. Using dangerous goods

#### 4.1 Using dangerous goods in tag mapping

A tag mapping can be created depending on whether or not the order contains products set up as dangerous goods. Three atomic conditions are available:
\- No dangerous goods product
\- At least one dangerous goods product
\- All products are dangerous goods

➡️ More information about setting up tag mapping [here](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/mapping-des-tags?hsLang=fr).

#### 4.2 Dangerous goods at preparation

- When the preparation slip is generated, if the preparation session includes products classified as dangerous goods, Shippingbo also generates a document containing a **summary table of the dangerous goods present in the shipment** and a **summary by category**:
  ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image%20(8)-png.png?width=531&height=688&name=image%20(8)-png.png)
- You will find the Categories of Transport (***classCode***) for each dangerous good shipped in this preparation session at the bottom of this document
- If the calculated value (quantity x coefficient) exceeds a certain threshold, we state it in the lower part of this document so that you can check that the truck coming to collect the goods is properly equipped.
