Prerequisites - This feature is available from the **Expert+ Pack**. - The PCB option can be enabled on request. How does PCB management work in Shippingbo? ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Aug-20-2026-12-10-53-0489-PM.png?width=2685&height=1458&name=image-png-Aug-20-2026-12-10-53-0489-PM.png) In logistics in general, we speak of Par-Combien (PCB) containing Sous-Par-Combien (SPCB) which themselves contain Sales Units (UV). *For example*: a carton (PCB) containing ten packs (SPCB) of six water bottles (UV). To keep things simple, Shippingbo makes no distinction between the different PCB and SPCB levels. - In Shippingbo, the PCB option lets you manage logistic units (UL) and consumer sales units (UVC) within your product catalog. You can arrange your logistic units in a hierarchy however you like, with as many levels as you like. - This logistic unit management lets you handle orders reserving large quantities of one or more product references more quickly and easily. - In Shippingbo: - **UVC** : stands for Consumer Sales Unit: the basic packaging of a product, i.e. the unit that the consumer can purchase separately. *For example: a bottle of sparkling water. ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-02-2025-09-11-04-7729-AM.png?width=38&height=122&name=image-png-May-02-2025-09-11-04-7729-AM.png)* - **UL** : stands for “Logistic Unit”. A Logistic Unit contains several consumer sales units or several other Logistic Units. Enabling PCB management Logistic unit management is enabled product by product. You can therefore define, within your product catalog in Shippingbo, which products are packaged in logistic units, and which ones. However, enabling PCB is subject to several prerequisites. Then, packaging by logistic unit is enabled either by import or manually on each product sheet.   #### 3.1 Preparing to enable PCB management 1. **Enabling PCB on a product is subject to several prerequisites:** this product must be completely "at rest" (no operation in progress). The following conditions must absolutely be met: - **No serial number** associated with a location for this product. - **No parcel reservation in progress** (no active preparation session, no slip in progress). - **No picked product** (taken from stock) that has not been shipped. - **No stock in transition** (no stock movement in progress). 2. The PCB feature **is not compatible with certain Preparation** slip configurations. The following items must be disabled in the Slips settings: **display of the offer SKUs**, **offer title**, **pack photo**, and **grouping of the pack's orders** on the slips in Shippingbo.
