# FEDEX: ERROR WHEN GENERATING A LABEL: INVALID CUSTOMS VALUE

You are trying to generate a label with the carrier Fedex but you encounter the following error:

*Invalid Customs Value.*

 

This error can appear in 2 specific cases: 

1\) Customs value **not specified or equal to zero**: If the unit cost of an item is zero (0€ or 0$), FedEx cannot generate the label.

✅**Solution**:

- Make sure that each item has a  **non-zero** value (\> 0).
- Change the prices if necessary (for example, add a symbolic value)

 ➡️ Also make sure that all the products in the order have an associated HS code

 

2\) Customs value **too low**: Some countries impose a minimum value for shipments.

*For example*: The value must be ≥ $1 for destinations such as:

- 🇦🇺 Australia
- 🇨🇦 Canada
- 🇨🇳 China

✅**Solution:** 

Check the rules of the destination country to make sure that the declared value meets the minimum thresholds.

 ➡️ Also make sure that all the products in the order have an associated HS code
