[FAQs - Erreur à la génération des étiquettes](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/base-de-connaissance/erreurs-fr%C3%A9quentes-comment-les-%C3%A9viter?hsLang=fr#faqs-erreur-%C3%A0-la-g%C3%A9n%C3%A9ration-des-%C3%A9tiquettes) 25 octobre 2026 # GLS: ERROR WHEN GENERATING A LABEL "THE CITY FIELD IS INVALID OR MISSING" You are trying to generate a label with the carrier GLS, but you receive the following error message:  *"The city field is invalid or missing"*   This means that there is an error either in the delivery address or in the shipping address.    **Solution:** you therefore need to check the following:  **a)** in the delivery address, check that the city is correctly filled in in the corresponding field.  **b)** check in the default address configured on your account that the city is correctly filled in in the right field (*Configuration =\> Accounts =\> Customer account =\> Essential information*).  **c)** if you have configured a shipping address per order source or origin, check that the city is correctly filled in in the right field (*Configuration =\> Notifications and labels =\> Shipping addresses by origin*). **d)** a specific shipping address may also be configured for the carrier in question.
