This improves stock management and ensures faster shipment of the available items.   ### **Benefits of the feature ✨** - **Shorter lead times**: Ship the available items without waiting for the missing stock to be received. - **Greater flexibility**: Manage orders according to availability without delaying all shipments. - **Better customer satisfaction**: Customers quickly receive part of their order instead of waiting for all of it.   ### 1. Prerequisites - Feature available from the **Expert+ pack**. - The option **Picking control** must be enabled. More information on Picking control **[here](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/utiliser-le-control-picking?hsLang=fr)**. - Compatible with the **B2B process** only for orders from **Shopify** or **PrestaShop**. - The option **Picking decrementation** must be enabled.   ### 2. How does partial shipment work? This feature is useful when not all the products in an order are immediately available. For example*, s*uppose an order that contains: - 1x **IPOD2012** out of stock - 2x **IPOD2014** available Thanks to splitting at shipment, you can: **Ship immediately** the **2x IPOD2014** and send the **IPOD2012** **later** ➡️ This feature is **particularly useful for sellers** managing a **just-in-time stock**.   ### 3. How do I activate partial shipment? **Please contact our support team** to activate this feature. Check the **compatibility of your sales channels**: some marketplaces **do not accept** **partial shipment**. **💡 Tip:** When doing a partial split at packing, you can choose to **transfer all the tags from the** original order (parent order) **to the new split order** (child order). By default, when an order is split, the tags of the new order are simply calculated via the tag mapping.  You can ask our technical teams to activate this additional setting. Open the newly generated order. 2. Follow the usual shipping process. 🚩 **Special case:** For orders from **Shopify** or **Prestashop**, the main order is not considered fully shipped on Shopify or PrestaShop **until all products have been sent.**   **⚒️ Framework and responsibilities:**  Before fully using the feature described in this tutorial, we strongly recommend running **a test phase** with your own settings to check that the result matches your expectations.
