# THEORETICAL PHYSICAL STOCK ON SHIPPINGBO

### 🔹What is **theoretical stock**?

Theoretical stock corresponds to the **stock available in the warehouse**, **plus all orders not yet shipped**, for which the stock has already been decremented.

In other words, it is the stock level expected based on the movements recorded in the system.

 

### 🔹Why can you have **negative theoretical stock**?

Negative theoretical stock appears when orders have been shipped while there was not enough stock available in the system. This means there is an inconsistency between:

- the shipments actually made
- and the quantities recorded in stock.

 

### 🔹 How to resolve negative theoretical stock?

Two possible approaches:

1. **Carry out an inventory**: physically check the stock in the warehouse and adjust the system data.
2. **Compare exports**: cross-reference a stock export with an export of shipped orders to identify the source of the discrepancy and correct the data.
