You can therefore leave it displayed on a control screen in the warehouse without any manual intervention. **🚩 Special case:** Some flows, such as in-store physical sales, do not require logistics preparation. You can configure order tags to exclude so as not to skew your metrics.   #### 2.2 Detailed summary of preparation sessions in progress The dashboard lists all active (non-closed) sessions and shows the 5 most recent sessions in depth, while displaying a counter of the remaining sessions. ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-02-2026-03-06-50-0518-PM.png?width=670&height=306&name=image-png-Oct-02-2026-03-06-50-0518-PM.png) For each detailed session, you will find: - **General information:** Session number, session filter name, number of orders in this run, start date, last activity date and total quantity of items. - **Picking stage:** Number of pieces picked, remaining to pick, progress status, as well as the pickers who performed the picking by location. - **Dispatch stage:** Quantity sorted and remaining in routing, progress status and times (displayed only if a dispatch session is associated with the run). - **Shipping stage:** Number of shipments completed, remaining to ship and packing start time. **⭐ Key point:** The breakdown by stage lets you see immediately whether a bottleneck is at picking, sorting or packing. Users in action and blocking alerts - **Active operators:** Named list of the pickers engaged in live sessions, so you know how tasks are distributed on the floor. - **Inactivity alerts:** Visual highlighting of sessions that have recorded no action for a defined period, signaling a potential equipment or operational blockage. - **Daily summary:** Summary of the runs closed and the total volume shipped during the day. **💡 Tip:** Set the inactivity threshold to 30 minutes to be quickly warned of an interruption on a cart or a scanning incident. This avoids orphan runs that delay carrier departures.   ▼ ### 3. Dashboard configuration and activation #### 3.1. Requesting activation from Shippingbo support The preparation dashboard requires activation by our technical teams as part of the WMS Expert supervision module. Once the module is activated, the **[preparation dashboard view is available here](https://app.shippingbo.com/#/monitoring/tv/details)**.   #### 3.2 Setting up the monitoring options To adjust the monitoring options, access the dashboard configuration settings via the gear icon at the top right:![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-07-2026-08-28-44-0539-AM.png?width=670&height=76&name=image-png-Oct-07-2026-08-28-44-0539-AM.png) You then access the following configuration options (example configuration below): ![](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-07-2026-08-27-36-5495-AM.png?width=670&height=466&name=image-png-Oct-07-2026-08-27-36-5495-AM.png) - **Display of session detail pages:** Check this box to allow access to the detailed pages of each run from the dashboard. - **Main page display time:** Set the automatic refresh delay of the overview (e.g. 60 seconds). - **Session detail pages display time:** Set the rotation and update frequency of the detail pages (e.g. 20 seconds). - **Exclude sessions that have not started from the details:** Check to hide sessions with status **To do** or **Initialization** to keep only the sessions **In progress**. - **Alert delay for inactive sessions:** Set the inactivity threshold in minutes (e.g. 30 minutes) that triggers an alert on the monitor. - **Order tags to exclude:** Enter the tags to exclude from the calculation of orders to prepare (e.g. `POS` for your in-store orders).     ▼ ### 4. Practical example An e-commerce warehouse prepares 1,500 parcels daily with a team of 8 pickers and a supervision screen hung in the central aisle: 1. The logistics manager excludes the tag `POS` so that direct in-store pickups do not appear in the warehouse's to-prepare gauges. 2. The overall refresh is set to 60 seconds, and the inactivity alert to 30 minutes. 3. At 11:30 a.m., the dashboard raises an orange alert on preparation session no. 412: no piece has been scanned for 32 minutes. 4. The team leader goes on site and finds a dead battery on the picker's scanner. The terminal is replaced immediately, avoiding a delay to the 12:00 p.m. truck departure. 5. Observing the dispatch stage gauge at 95% and the shipping gauge at 40%, two operators are redeployed to the packing stations to finalize shipments before the carrier cut-off.   **⚒️ Framework and responsibilities:** Before fully using the feature described in this tutorial, we strongly recommend running **a test phase** with your own settings to check that the result matches your expectations.
