NOTE

This configuration is specific to each carrier service.
If you wish to use it, please specify the complete list of carrier services to which this process should apply.

There are two ways of using this feature:

  • Default operation: all orders dispatched (with the carrier service set to operate in this way) will change their status to ‘handed over to carrier’ when the carrier service delivery note is generated.
  • Flash operation of the parcel number: if this option is activated, only orders flashed with the PDA will be taken into account on the carrier's delivery note.

Default behaviour of the feature

If you have activated the default operation with the status ‘Handed over to carrier’, the process will look like this:

The order is brought up in Shippingbo, you ship the order using any preparation mode. The order will go into ‘dispatched’ status.

When your carrier comes to collect the parcels, you can download the delivery note for the desired carrier service so that all orders shipped with this service are automatically indicated on the delivery note.

For that, go to Configurations -> Files Management -> Reports and select "Reports" on the right side of the desired carrier :

When the carrier comes to collect the parcels, click on Generic delivery note to generate the document summarising the parcels handed over to the carrier.

Flashing the parcel number with the PDA

If you have asked to activate the option to use the PDA to check parcels handed over to the carrier, then the process is as follows:

The order is brought up in Shippingbo, and you ship it using any preparation mode. The order will go into shipped status.

When your carrier comes to collect the parcels, you can flash the parcels you give them and then download the delivery note from the carrier service linked to this collection.

The delivery note will then contain only the orders whose parcels were scanned when the truck passed by.

In addition, if you have activated the ‘Handed over to carrier’ status, only these orders will change to ‘handed over to carrier’ status when the delivery note is downloaded, and the others will remain in ‘dispatched’ status.

Step 1 : On the PDA, click on "Hand package to carrier" :

Step 2 : Scan the parcel number of the first parcel delivered to the carrier.

Step 3 : Repeat the operation for all the parcels you hand over to the carrier.

NOTE

You can also scan the barcode on the transport label:

Step 4: Generate the report in the Configurations menu -> Files Management -> Reports -> "Remis au transporteur" :

CAREFUL

You must generate the delivery note for the carrier when the carrier collects your parcels.
