Stock movements between warehouses allow you to transfer stock between your different warehouses. You can manage those movements only from your OMS account.
Note :
This feature is only available between your warehouses that are managed by your OMS account.
Note :
In order to activate this feature, please get in touch with our support team.
Adding the warehouses' addresses
Before anything else, you need to add the warehouse addresses in order for the stock movements to reach their destination.
In order to add them, go to the Warehouse menu on your OMS account, then enter the warehouse menu details by clicking on the plus sign on the left :
At the bottom of the page, click on "Associate address to the warehouse" and add the address of your warehouse :
Add the addresses to each warehouse you will use to transfer stock.
Managing the stock threshold and stock goals for warehouse transfers
In order to transfer your stock from one warehouse to another, you will first need to add the stock threshold and stock goals of your products. You can add them manually or by file upload.
The stock threshold is the stock that allows the warehouse transfer to launch.
The stock target are the stock values you want to reach. The objective of the transfer is to reach this value.
I. Adding the stock threshold and stock goals by file upload
Step 1 : In order to create the file upload, enter your OMS account and go to the menu Configuration -> Files management -> Upload -> Warehouse products. Then, click on "Upload file" :
Step 2 : If you wish to upload those informations for products that haven't been created yet on the account, dowload the given example file and fill it in with the requested informations before uploading it :
- product_id
- supplier_id
- supplier_ref : product SKU
- warehouses_transfer_limit_stock : stock threshold
- warehouses_transfer_wished_stock : stock goal
Step 1 : In order to add them manually, enter the menu Warehouse -> enter the details of the targeted warehouse -> enter the values of the stock threshold and stock target directly on the product lines :
Creating a warehouse transfer manually
Warehouse transfers are navigated entirely by the OMS account.
Step 1 : Enter the Stock menu -> Warehouse transfer -> New movement :
Step 2 : Select here the departure warehouse (where the product will be taken out from) and the destination warehouse (where the product will end up) :
Careful : It is not possible to select the same departure and destination warehouse. |
Note :
Products that appear as available for a stock movement are the ones that have reached or undercome their stock threshold.
Step 3 : On that same page, in the "Available products" category, add the quantity you wish to transfer for each product available. In order to do that, click on "Add a product" and write their SKU. Then, add the quantity that needs to be transfered.
If, for any reason, you do not wish to transfer any quantity, write 0 in the field "Quantity to transfer" :
Once you have added all the products and their quantities to transfer, you can click on "Create".
Step 4 : On your OMS account, your transfer appears in the same menu with the status "New" :
Step 5 : On the warehouse account, this creates a new order with the status "To be prepared". The origin of the order is "WarehouseTransfer".
Note :
Products Every order created from a warehouse transfer will have the tag "Internal logistics".
Step 6 : Once the order has been shipped on the Warehouse account, this order will appear under the status "in transit" on the OMS account.
Step 7 : On the warehouse account, it will create a supply capsule. Enter the menu Stock -> Supply capsule where you will find your transfer in a pending state :
Step 8 : Enter the supply capsule and add the stock for the requested products. Once you have added all the requested stock, you can close the supply capsule :
Step 9 : Once the supply capsule is closed, your transfer will appear as closed.
Creating a warehouse transfer with a file upload
You can create warehouse transfers with a file upload when you have more than 100 products to transfer from a warehouse to another.
First, follow step 1 and step 2 previously described.
Step 3 : Once you have added the quantities that need to be transfered, click on "Export eligible products". Do not click on "Create" :
Note :

Step 4 : Once you have downloaded the CSV file, remain on the OMS account and go to the menu Configuration -> Files management -> Upload -> Warehouse transfer and upload your file :
Step 5 : Once the file is uploaded, go to your warehouse departure account and you will find your warehouse transfer inside your orders with the statuts "to be prepared".
