[FAQs - Gestion des notifications](https://knowledge.shippingbo.com/erreurs-fr%C3%A9quentes-comment-les-%C3%A9viter?hsLang=fr#faqs-gestion-des-notifications) 25 octobre 2026 # ERROR WHEN CONFIGURING EMAILS: "PLEASE CHECK THAT THE SMTP CONFIGURATION IS CORRECT" In the **Configurations** -\> **Account** -\> **Email configuration** menu, you are trying to set up email addresses so that you can then send notifications to your customers, but you receive the following error message: *"Please check that the SMTP configuration is correct".* This error message indicates a problem with the **SMTP server** you are using.  📢 **Warning** **:** **Shippingbo does not intervene** in the configuration of your SMTP server, nor in its troubleshooting.  In case of an error, please contact your server's support service.   **✅Solution:** you therefore need to turn to your SMTP server to fix the problem, then try the configuration again.
