WHEN SHOULD I USE THE RESTOCKING FEATURE ON THE PDA

💠Note:

This only applies to Shippingbo users who perform picking on the PDA.

This step can be essential to avoid having products with picking stock that “linger” and thus distort your stock.

Situation 1:

Incomplete “global” picking session on the PDA.

If during a “global” picking session on the PDA, with a view to continuing with sorting at the apiary, you were not able to pick 100% of the products, this means that one or more orders in your session will be incomplete.

In this case, during the sorting session, Shippingbo will tell you to place some products in the Restocking Bin.

Situation 2:

In a session, you have picked products, so Shippingbo considers that they have physically left their location. The picked quantities are then in “picking stock”. Then, at the end of your picking, you decide to empty your session, and ultimately not to ship your orders right away for some reason.

Be aware that in this case, when you empty a session after you have already picked the products, Shippingbo does not automatically restock the products.

Indeed, we cannot know in advance in which locations the operator will actually restock the products.

✅Solution:

You must therefore use the restocking feature on the PDA, which will clear the “picking stock” of these products and put the quantities back into the locations.
