WHEN SHOULD I USE THE RESTOCKING FEATURE ON THE PDA

💠Note:

This only concerns Shippingbo users who do picking on the PDA.

This step can be essential to avoid having products with stock in picking that “linger” and thus distort your stock.

Situation 1:

Incomplete “global” picking session on the PDA.

If, during a “global” picking session on the PDA, intended to be followed by apiary splitting, you were unable to pick 100% of the products, it means that one or more orders in your session will be incomplete.

In this case, during the splitting session, Shippingbo will tell you to place some products in the Restocking Bin.

Situation 2:

In a session, you have picked products, so Shippingbo considers that they have physically left their location. The picked quantities are then in “stock in picking”. Then, at the end of your picking, you decide to empty your session, and finally not to ship your orders right away for some reason.

Please note that in this case, when you empty a session after you have already picked the products, Shippingbo does not automatically restock the products.

Indeed, we cannot know in advance in which locations the operator will actually restock the products.

✅Solution:

You must therefore use the restocking feature on the PDA, which will clear the “stock in picking” of these products and put the quantities back into the locations.
